ARE YOU "LEGALLY BRILLIANT"?

In celebration of Legally Blonde The Musical opening its National Tour in Providence (playing September 21 & 23 - 28), the trusts and estates law firm Correira & Iacono LLP is sponsoring "Legally Brilliant," a $1,000 scholarship opportunity open to students who intend to pursue a legal career and will be either high school seniors this fall or are already in college. Applications will be accepted now through September 12, 2008; the winner of the scholarship will be announced shortly thereafter.

The guidelines for the "Legally Brilliant" scholarship are as follows:

1. Applicant must be a college or high school senior for the 2008/2009 school year and planning to pursue a graduate, undergraduate or post secondary school education in either law or a legally related field (i.e. political science, criminal justice, etc...).

  1. Applications should include the following:
    1. A copy of the applicant's college/high school transcript.
    2. A list of all extracurricular activities, community activities, jobs and internships participated in while in college/high school, including years and noteworthy positions held.
    3. A written statement, no more than 1,000 words in length, explaining the applicant's reason for deciding to pursue an education in law or a legally related field.
  1. While not required, applicants may choose to send:
    1. Up to two letters of recommendation.
    2. Any other information that the selection committee should take into consideration when reviewing the application.
